Alongside our well-known Bomb Technician Operations Course offered for teams, we now have individual seats available on select dates on both coasts. These sessions are intended for certified public safety bomb technicians (HDS graduates) or military NAVSCOLEOD graduates.
The Point One PSBT HME Course training increases operational skills related to a response that involves homemade explosives.
HME training session topics include:
- Threat assessment (conventional/HME)
- Dynamic defeat techniques and tools
- Principles of HME production
- HME desensitization
- Production of monomolecular,
binary HME and precursors

The PSBT AMT Course training session increases operational skills related to a response that involves a Category A situation such as a hostage rescue or a sophisticated, high consequence device.
AMT training session topics include:
- Threat assessment (Cat A)
- Immediate actions & booby trap defeat
in a tactical environment - Hostage handling
- Manual access tools and techniques
- Cat A practical tasks

All training will be conducted at Point One facilities in Virginia Beach, Virginia or Desert Center, California, depending on the course.
Minimum of eight seats required to run the PSBT HME & AMT courses. If minimum is not achieved, the course will be rescheduled to a later date.
