EOD Dedication Cycling Series Sponsored by Point One for EOD Warrior Foundation

Point One is proud to sponsor the 2020 EOD Dedication Cycling Series, the EOD Warrior Foundation’s event to honor the 341 EOD technicians who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

Kicking off in Virginia Beach, Virginia, the first of three races in the campaign was set to begin May 31st, 2020, 8:30 a.m. and (due to the Coronavirus restrictions and quarantines) is now rescheduled for September 5th, 2020.

The Virginia Beach route for this ride is also altered, to a 4.6 mile loop with a goal to complete 341 miles within the 2.5-hour time limit, taking place at Ft. Story, “providing a safe riding environment for all types of bicycles and riders, including adaptive bikes.” Originally it was an escorted 34 miles along beautiful coast line, starting and finishing at 17th Street Park at the oceanfront (fittingly, in front of the John Wareing statue, a monument with a show of strength of the war veteran, local business owner and founder of Wareing’s Gym, standing larger than life). A ride celebration will be hosted at the Bold Mariner Brewing Company following the event.

After Virginia Beach, the fundraising rides will occur in Las Vegas, Nevada and Paso Robles, California, currently scheduled for October 17, and November 14, 2020, respectively. Additionally, there is a Virtual Ride ongoing from September 5 through November 14. Registration, routes, and more information available on the event website.

The EOD Dedication Cycling Series is to benefit the EOD Warrior Foundation, the nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for the EOD Family by providing educational, financial and emotional support. By sponsoring the entire EOD Dedication Cycling Series at the Master Level, Point One is helping ensure this campaign is a great success for the benefit of EOD warriors and their families. This is one of many EOD Warrior Foundation events Point One has come alongside to help in their fundraising efforts.

Ride participants are encouraged to fundraise for the cause, and anyone can make a donation. Check out the 2020 EOD Dedication Cycling Series for full and updated information.

We cheer on the riders, this great organization putting on the event, and those who inspire us to bravery, boldness, and sacrificial giving!
