Point One Range One Complex
Exciting news for Point One and the classes we will be hosting in the future….
For many years Point One has searched long and hard for a suitable explosive range location that is in close proximity to the units we support in Virginia Beach—and we are happy to announce that location was identified late last year and is now operational. The support building and the ground work is complete to allow operational training to begin. Test shots were performed today and all noise and over blast criteria is better than predicted.
Point One will now be able to provide training on our own explosive range so we can continue to advance capability for our customers. We will host our first class for EODMU-12 next week and are looking very forward to another successful week of training at our newest facility designed and built for HME training objectives.
The Point One Range One Complex or as we now call it, the “ROC” is within 50 miles of most major bases in our AO and will be an easy transit for EOD Operators stationed in the Hampton Roads area!
